You must complete the online portion and within 6 months schedule the the second day of class where additional information will be covered and certification testing will be completed. You must print the certificate of completion to bring to any of the classees listed below.

Class fee payable with credit card or by check received 3 weeks prior to class.
Class fee may be applied to any APBFI class location without penalty.
Cancellation of the class Primer purchased from another source will incur a $25 administrative fee.
Cancellation of the Recertification class will incur materials and administrative fee of $250.
Student must present a photo ID for admission to class, and attend all segments to sit for test.
A minimum score of 74% is required for certification.
A retesting fee of $35.00 fee will apply for a student who did not achieve a certification score. No additional class fee will apply.
Pool & Hot Tub Alliance CPO Certification
CPOSM Certification provides individuals with the knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations. Course Options
The CPOSM Certification program requires participation in either a two-day in-person class (14-16 hours) taught by a certified instructor or the blended format that combines the online Pool Operator Primer and one day of the Pool Operator Fusion in-person class of instruction. An open book written examination is required.
This two-day class covers 14-16 hours of information from the PHTASMPool & Spa Operator Handbook and local codes taught by a certified PHTASM Instructor. This dynamic setting offers direct interaction with an instructor and fellow students. Pass the open book exam and earn CPOSM certification.
Pool Operator Primer
This online training program can be the first step to earning a CPOSM Certification. This online curriculum follows the 18 chapters in the PHTASM & Spa Operator Handbook , which is provided. *BONUS* Students have access to the Pool Operator Primer online course for six months giving them the opportunity to review the material many times.
Pool Operator Fusion
This one-day in-person class is offered by a certified PHTASM Instructor and is an economical and convenient way to achieve the CPOSM Certification.
