National Swimming Pool Foundation--Pool Operator Primer Online Portion ONLY
May be used for training without certification or schedule 1 day class with any certified instructor per their registration requirements and fee schedule. The online segments must be completed and tests passed to proceed to a scheduled class for final testing within 6 months of registration. The online portion IS NOT a certification by itself.
Pool Operator Primer-8 Hour ONLINE PORTION ONLY!! Schedule with any instructor, anywhere! The in class portion will be based on space availability of the individual instructor and additional class fee will apply. Materials include online access code, CPO handbook and preclass study guide.

Student must present a photo ID for admission to class, and attend all segments to sit for test.
A minimum score of 75% is required for certification.

Your computer should be a multimedia computer with Windows 95/98/2000/NT, Unix, or Macintosh. Your Internet connection speed should be at least 56 kbps.

The National Swimming Pool Foundation online courses are optimized for version 6 and higher of both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. Please check your browser version before entering the online courses. Having the most recent version of one of these browsers will help ensure a trouble-free experience.
Plug-ins

·Each student receives 14-16 hours of instruction by a certified instructor who is specifically trained to communicate the basic skills necessary to operate a pool or spa facility.
·The course is intensive and covers pool and spa chemistry, testing, treatment, filtration, maintenance, automatic feeding equipment, government requirements, etc.
·After completion of the instruction, the student must pass a written examination.
·Certification is valid five years, at which time a refresher course and/or a re-examination must be passed.
